I have a quick question about Cyanogenmod.

I have everything on my phone backed up, and am ready to make the switch, but one thing has been keeping me from installing it.

Will i still be able to make/recieve calls and such from my phone? Or will i have to take it into my telephone company to have it re-activated?

You will be able to make and recieve calls and such fine. The ROM may go through an auto-activation setup, but I'm not entirely sure. Moving from ROM to ROM on my M8, it has never given me any issues.

I'm just staying with cyanogenmod 11s on my 1+1, however I might put cyanogenmod 12 if OnePlus and cyanogen don't make up. Not that excited with android L when I tried it on my nexus 4 is was meh.

Well if you have a phone from 2011 being held together by blu-tack every little helps. Even though I miss the multi tasking on slimkat

Calling should be fine. I've never actually had a nightly where calls were broken. Only Bluetooth and WiFi occasionally early on, IR Blaster support gets added in fairly late though as it's low priority.

Speaking from experience having gone from a SGS2 with CM to a SGS4 with CM to my HTC One m7 with CM.

Quick update.

I forgot that the HTC ONE M7 did not have external SD storage, so backing up to that was not the brightest of ideas...

Installing CM 10 failed, however 12 worked. It says it cannot find a SIM card though.

Since i lost my backup (i did manual backups of photos and contacts ans such) of the ROM, i am trying to revert to a stock ROM from HTC's website.

Its really too bad, i had high hopes for CyanogenMod
