Asus Gladius - Polling rate?

Go to solution Solved by Eddyyz,

OK cool I found the problem. As mentioned I use Windows 8.1, I just did all the updates for the OS and that seemed to have solved it. The rate checker software now says my mouse is running at 2000 Hz.

Hello my brother Eddyz

Wow, what are the chances ;)

Hey guys,

Recently got the Asus Rog Gladius mouse been using it for about a month, I saw in a review of another mouse a guy use a program called "Mouse Rate Checker" in which the program told you what the polling rate of the mouse.

I downloaded the program to see what my polling rate is and also to make sure its correct. I have set it to 2000 Hz in the Rog Armory software. When testing the polling rate the polling rate wouldn't exceed 200 Hz when I was testing.

My friend who has the exact same mouse set his polling rate to 2000 Hz and tested it in the program and it said roughly 2000 Hz, my friend said he had his mouse plugged into a USB 3.0 port and his OS is Windows 7.

I run Windows 8.1, I've tried plugging the mouse into a USB 2.0 port and a USB 3.0 port and the values do not change.

Please could some one let me know how I can fix this so it says roughly 2000 Hz. Also just as a side note I am not entirely sure how drivers work for USB 3.0 ports so if I need to install drivers for the ports to be able to run at USB 3.0 speeds please let me know. (This is my mobo - MSI X79A-GD65 (8D).

Cheers

Do the other polling rate options work properly? Its not too uncommon for 1000Hz or higher to not work or cause weirdness with certain hardware configurations.

I am only able to set the polling rate in certain increments (as seen in the picture I attached). If I set the polling rate to 125 Hz then test it in the software it is correct it does actually say its 125 Hz, its very odd.
