New Router/Modem help?

After looking into my issue a little further I have found that my Modem is what is causing my wifi issue. But I personally have no knowledge on modems, so i'm going to need a little help here. I have a one bedroom apartment so I don't need anything too crazy. I'm running 100mbs download(I'm not sure if that makes a difference with what kind of modem i'll need). Any advice would be awesome, Thanks!

the modem should be provided by your isp because it houses specific information to establish a connection with the ips. if you modem is faulty, contact your isp and tell them you are having problems.
