So I'm having a strange problem. Just picked up a new mobo and cpu. Got home, set it all up, Booted fine, didn't recognize the ethernet onboard so I went and grabbed the adapter I used on my old mobo, now nothing. Turn on, no usb power, no output, mobo speaker's not telling me anything, but everything appears to be on. Drives are spinning, fans and lights are running, only thing that seems off internally is my GPU (GTX 970) which kinda makes me think PSU failure? I don't have an extra one to test unfortunately, but I really can't think of what the issue would be.

Somehow it was the mobo. Tested a different one with the same CPU and couldnt post. I'll call tomorrow as I feel like plugging in a pci adaptor is a strange thing to brick a mobo

You can't really "brick" a mobo, but you could short it out. If you tried to install something with the power still connected, especially if something isn't grounded properly this could be the cause. Sometimes it actually fixes itself. Unplug everything and disconnect your power supply from the mobo. Let it sit for 30 mins or so, and like others said clear the CMOS and try again.
