OK. So I originally built this in last October-ish. Had a oc on the cpu of 4.52 @ same volts. Just recently reinstalled Windows when trying to do a raid array (didn't work no raid) and clean up a bit. Ever since that oc was unstable for some reason and had to drop the multiplier and couldn't drop the voltage. Although ever since then I have had graphics card issues. I had a Sapphire r9 280 dual-x and was experiencing just flickering in bf4 only. I purchased the card w/ warranty at microcenter thankfully so I drove an hour away to get a new one. Ended up upgrading to a msi gaming r9 290x open box deal. Also picked up a rm 1000 for 120 (couldn't pass it up but I haven't installed it yet). I threw it into my system and realized my problem just got worse. I was now experiencing flickering of building and trees in the way distance with now artifacts and horrible polygons all over. Completely unplayable on bf4. So I troubleshoot. Reinstalled drivers again. I used ddu. Installed different variations via Catalyst and Windows installer. Down clocked, over clocked, power,l in msi afterburner... Everything... I went up today thinking I needed to troubleshoot farther and get a gtx 970 and try something different. I couldn't do it knowing I'd be stuck in 1080p and stuck with r9 290x again. I got the Gigabyte as mentioned in the beginning. Threw it in, installed drivers from scratch again! And still having flickering, artifacts that flicker in opposite quarters of the screen, and black screen crashing when turning the power consumption up. Temps are all good. I am lost. I plan to throw the rm 1000 in tonight although I was holding off on it until I got all my custom water loop parts in but I need to troubleshoot and eliminate things. Also plan to switch pcie slot. Any suggestions? If this doesn't work, should I get a nvidia (for trouble shooting purposes) ? Should I get a new motherboard? I got on the phone with Gigabyte since I had both of their products and they couldn't just easily say "hey, it's not our video card, take it back" I asked, could it be the motherboard? They said to do this in this order... 1) check gfx card bios w/ their utility. 2) switch psu 3) switch pcie 4) call them back. Lol

THANKS GUYS!

Welcome to the forums!

Have you tried reinstalling the game?

The only thing that it could be, since you've tried so much, would possibly be a bad PCI-E lane, possibly? Have you tried any others on the mobo?

Exactly what the above gent says.  Reinstall Origin and BF4.  If that doesn't work, try a different PCI lane.

OH MAAANNNNN. it just came to me. I had an issue right about when this all started. I bought of those darn Nzxt led kits. Fried it to find out it was the molex they made had wires crossed. Take a look... So my question what is the likelihood of it ruining my psu vs ruining my mobo?? http://i59.tinypic.com/2lado5s.jpg
