If it moves around just a little bit then its fine. If its extremely loose and feels like the thermal pad is dried out, then replace the thermal pad with thermal paste(just scrape it off).

if it isn't running hot then it shouldn't be a problem. My friend was worried about this happening to his OLD computer but it was fine. It only has two contact points so it will wiggle a little.

Well, you could allways try to stress the system a bit and feel for heat at that point if possible. If you feel alot of heat it might be a good idea to replace the thermal pad/paste.

It feels like the thermal pad or paste is dried up and no good. I'm getting a new cpu cooler and will have some extra thermal paste left over and I was wondering if it was worth taking it off and putting some new on it
