Building a Pc for a friend

Hi everyone,

A friend has asked me to build a pc for him and I've never really been the best at picking parts.

The guy has €1000 to spend and will be mainly used for gaming (BF4, Skyrim, some indie titles) and general use.

I'm in Ireland so can only really buy from UK and Europe.

My friend has never had a pc before so needs OS, but he already has peripherals.

Any lists of parts within the budget would be greatly appreciated.

Tks,

Cian

P.S. A small SSD would be a nice bonus in the price, and aesthetics will be valued.

Hey man I would go for a motherboard with an LGA 1155 socket and z97 chipset and any of the i7s that can go with it if unlocked better so you could oc,ddr3 or more Asus has some nice options for the motherboard. As far as the graphics card either 970 or gtx 780 ti maybe 2 in sli. HDD or sdd all depends on your friend and how he wants to use it and type of performance he wants, I would go for any Samsung ssd. corsair or ripsaw has some nice options for ram don't go for anything under 8gb. Just throwing some idea out there. The beauty of a custom PC is that it's custom for you (your friend In this case) I can't do any detailed research at the moment and I don't know the specs of everything of the top of my head but these should be a good place to start, if you have any questions let me know
