SSD for boot and cache?

Intel Smart Response is not an option for me but I am running a 3570K. The reason Intel Smart Response is not an option is because when gigabyte updated my bios they removed support for SSD caching. I want to know if there is a way I can still cache my storage drive with a partition on my boot SSD.
