Upgrading my Current Build

Hi everybody,

I am relatively new to PC building and recently finished my first full build. Needless to say it's not as fast as i would like it to be even after putting a lot into it. I know I should have done this before building but i was wondering if there is anything i could do to improve what I've got.

Motherboard- Asus Maximus Hero iv

Power Supply- Insignia 520 watt

Graphics card- MSI R9 280

RAM- 2x8gb Crucial Ballistix

Hard drive- 2tb seagate

CPU- intel i7 4770

MIsc- Rosewill 2.4GHZ wireless N PCI-E Adapter

Any helpful tips would be greatly appreciated.

An SSD would make it crazily faster!!!

Tip - 120gb won't be enough

Ok.

Heres some ideas:

Add a SSD.

Get a 4790K with the overclockibilty because why do you need such a high end z97 board with a mere 4770 without the un-locked processor

A better power suppl considering AMD recommends at lest 600w to power a 280

Well, I would be upgrading the GPU, it seams underpowered compared to everything else. You'd also need to get a new PSU

CPU: i5-4690k GPU: 280x Toxic PSU: Coolermaster V750 Motherboard: Z97X-SOC RAM: Ripjaws 1x8 1600mhz Case: Corsair 750D HDD: WD Blue 1TB
