Laptop GPU Issue ? (R7 m270)

Go to solution Solved by Prastupok,

I currently have a 1GB GPU (AMD radeon HD 7610M) and will this computer improve the gaming experience or not ?

Improve relative to what you have? Yes. Will it be fun for you? No.

 Hey !

First of all I hope i'm in the right forum. I'm looking into buying a new laptop to replace my old one. I saw this with recent CPU, ridiculously huge amount of RAM, little SSD (but i have an external 2TB) and i'm just asking me if the 4Go GPU is really that good and there's a mistery all around this because this card doesn't exist (the AMD R7 m270) and this laptop will be for a little bit of everything but i don't really know if this is a great card to play video games like The Witcher III, Dying Light, Far Cry IV, ... at pretty high settings with a decent Number of FPS (around 40+, not necessarely on UHD but at least FULL HD). That's pretty much it i hope i have been precise enough to get an answer and i haven't ask something already solved.

An R7 mobile will most likely not give you a very good gaming experience at all.

If you're playing the newest games, you'll need a dedicated laptop to play 1080p with steady frames at anything other than low settings.

The projects never end in my line of work.

My R9 M275 can barely handle the most modern games at 1080p, so that one will definitely not.  On Battlefield 4, I average 52fps on the absolute lowest settings, and the GPU runs at 100% and at 80C.

I'm currently playing Dying Light on the lowest settings at something like 10/15 fps so a 30 would entirely be sufficient for me. Thanks for your really fast answers and i think i will still buy it. So that's all for today have a nice and long life ;)

I doubt you'll get 30 fps... but I hope you do.

I just checked the 17" and it has a Geforce 845M with 2GB but GDDR5 wouldn't it be better ?

It's a little better, but still not great. But with the lowest settings you could probably get 30 - 40 fps on it.
