Dead GPU?

Hey Guys,

 

Every time my computer is booted, it restarts. My Friend said the Problem is my GPU. So i replaced it just for testing and i didn't had the problem anymore.

My GPU is the Gainward GTX 580 Phantom and my test GPU was the GTX 470. So is my 580 dead or could the problem be anywhere else?

I would say that the problem is the GPU. Few things i would like to check for curiousity's sake:

1. What are the voltage reading in the UEFI bios?

2. Did the card ever work properly?

if so...

3. Did you install the other GPU's drivers?

I mean, It could be, I would recommend testing the 580 in someone elses computer if possible to see if it works before troubleshooting further.

If it works on a different PC then the solution may be as simple as re-installing your driver
