ziftrcoin?

Also, iirc, they said they were going to try to have it released by the third week of March. No guarantee, but an attempt to. But again, that is if I remember correctly.

Yea i never saw a definite date or time frame. They said they wanted cpu mining for aslong as possible and would look at releasing gpu mining soon and also releasing the new wallet soon. Personally i'm glad they've taken longer and worked hard on it, it should actually be decent instead of some rushed buggy piece of shit

when you put it that way I agree , before I wasn't really thinking about the issues they might have and the reprocusions of them releasing some software that would have some loopholes and bugs in it. That would have been catastrophic if there was a venerability for someone to hack in and just take ahold of the wallet

Please quote me or tag me if your trying to talk to me , I might see it through all my other notifications ^_^

it's a similar reason why i'm not too angry at rockstar for delaying the GTAV release for pc, again. They're taking their time and making the product worth it

I was a little mad for them delaying it , but then thought back to watchdogs and instantly thought "well at least they have the balls to try an make it playable for us even tho we will be a bit annoyed that it was delayed" lol

Exactly. You have to actually make a quality product, however ubisoft fucked themselves so many times last year with releases, it was awful. Hopefully the GPU code for Ziftr will be the opposite and will be amazing and get me glorious hashrates

VMware Workstation is a Type 2 hypervisor which does not have direct access to your PCI devices. You would need a Type 1 bare-metal hypervisor such as ESXi or KVM to use GPU passthrough for the miner inside the VM to be able to use your GPU.

Dang, that's exactly what I was fearing.

Getpimp will not be the only way to gpu mine though. People will make their own miners and release them as the ziftr devs said they would be opening up their git hub so that "tinkerers may tinker" most likely there will be a standalone miner so it may work

I bought a Pentium G3240, NZXT source 210 case and an 850W power supply and reused my old z87 motherboard that i had lying around. I spent way to much on my main build so i had to save a bit but now i've got it hashing away waiting for gpu mining

Just noticed that the fewer threads I use, the more KH/s I get per core. At 2 threads, I get 106-110. 6 threads gives me 80-87KH/s, and all 8 gives me about 70-80KH/s. Sort of interesting. Anyone have a reason as to why this might be? Too lazy/tired to think right now. It has the potential to be a decent sized thought process.

I sure hope so. I just hate being late to the game considering I'm not that well off to begin with...

Mine is the same. I have a pentium with 2 threads and get 116kh/s and an i7 with 8 that gets 75k/s. I think with 8 threads and 4 cores it's 2 threads a core so they have to share almost, i really don't know i'm just guessing

that's not too bad , they were just outer under a lot of stress with all the bot mining and what not so its sorta a last ditch attempt right

Yea i think so. However the new wallet mines very well, it uses a standalone miner and has similar hashrates to the one ig0tik optimized, it connects to the miner for you, just downlaod the stratum compatible one from http://www.ziftrpool.io/downloads andput it in the same folder as the wallet and youre good to go, you can connect to the pools from inside the wallet and just click start mining
