OK this is the updated version - http://ca.pcpartpicker.com/p/rYdFyc

I made the case black and the memory red to match the colour scheme

That board is more expensive than the one you replaced. You might as well stick with the 1st spec as it is cheaper, for the same performance.

Drop the WD Black and just get a normal Blue drive.

Anything else I can do?

If you are willing to change the color scheme you could go with ASRock H97 PRO4 ATX LGA1150 Motherboard and G.Skill Ripjaws X Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory. It will save a bit more.

BTW, the gpu is out of stock at the lowest cost merchant.

80+ ratings certify electrical efficiency. Not quality.

Which one exactly? Z97 PC Mate or H97 PC Mate?

I did change the 4430 for the 4440 because well for 1$ more it's worth it I also changed the ram for a cheaper model and I changed the hdd for a cheaper one. I also changed the motherboard as you were going a little overkill on it

So the gold wouldn't really work

You could always paint it black.

Not worth the hassle IMO. And the board I put is about the same price

If you are in Canada, my spec would be over your budget anyway as it is US prices.

So are there any other places I can save some dollars?

Not unless you drop the cooler, or go with a cheaper case.

I think the cooler is worth it, as it's only like $40. I like the case so I'm keeping that. So do you guys think that it's a good build? This should be able to get at least 50 fps on 1080p max settings in most games right?

If you get a really demanding game then you might have to slightly tone things down. The link below gives you a rough idea of FPS on a few different games.
