can't boot from usb

I've made my USB bootable and moved all the windows 7 files to it, but when I go to my motherboard BIOS I cannot see my USB listed to boot. I have a p8z77

Edit: does the USB have to be a higher than a certain capacity? The one I'm using is 3.72gb

If the windows installer fits there, then no. Is it plugged into USB3 or USB2 port? If former, try using USB2 port instead. There are also some other options for booting which vary per mobo.

Try disabling UEFI, installing the OS, then re-enabling UEFI

I have finally moved to a desktop. Also my guides are outdated as hell.
