Stuck between two cpu's

Okay, well my problem is im stuck on the 8350 and the i5 4440 , I will be heavily multitasking and running programs while gaming (skype, teamspeak) , I know theres nowhere to go after the 8350 in terms of performance upgrade, but I dont plan on upgrading for a while when i build this machine and the i5 might fall behind when all games start to use 4 cores and im still running heavy programs in the background, I just need your guys' thought on this.

get the i5, it will perform much better in gaming than the 8350, as it has significantly better single threaded performance. (Even when using all 4 cores it will destroy the 8350 when it uses only 4 cores, and in most situations also when using 8)

Or even better, spend a little more and get an i5 4690 or 4690K instead for even more performance, and if you get the k version get a z97 mobo so you can oc, otherwise a h97 mobo is fine.

(Note: With higher end GPUs, AMD's CPUs and APUs become bottlenecks, whereas intel's CPUs do very very well)

So with an 4690(k) I could still manage to get a good gpu all around my $700 budget?
