Issue when I try to boot my computer.

So i am building my first computer. Now I have the gpu, psu, and cpu in and if i try to see if it post is just makes a clicking sound the first time i try it. After that it is dead silent and it wont post. The sound sounds like it is coming from my psu. I tested these before in the case and it did work just fine.

Did you connect all power cables?

Check to make sure your motherboard standoffs are correct and not shorting your board. This happened to me and that was the problem.

Try eliminating problems

 

i recommend trying each individual component in another computer (at a friend's or something) this way you can see if every component works.

And as for the clicking noise,

try a different powersupply, you can ask a friend to borrow theirs or maybe you have one from an old pc.

i have tested all the compnents outside the case and the ALL worked

By making sure they are screwed in correctly to the case. And that your motherboard is secured to them snuggly.
