Hello community I just made this account and after watching multiple of Linus' videos I have decided to build a computer of my own but I have never done anything like this before so I wanted to ask everyone here if this setup would even boot up properly

(Assuming I screw it together correctly). Well here goes.

CPU Cooler: Cooler Master Nepton 280L 122.5 CFM

MOBO: ASUS Z97-Deluxe (NFC&WLC)

RAM: Crucial Ballistix Sport 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR3-1600

Storage: Seagate 4TB 5900RPM SSHD

Video Card: EVGA GeForce GTX 980 4 GB ACX 2.0  (x2)

Case: Cooler Master Storm Stryker Full Tower

Power Supply: Corsair 1200w 80+ Platinum Certified Fully Modular ATX power supply

Optical Drive: Samsung SH-224DB/BEBE

Monitor: AOC G2460PQU 144Hz 24,0"

Thanks to everyone who reads this post!

Well looking at the fact that you plan on getting 2 980s maybe a 1000w PSU just so that you have some headroom. But apart from that yeah it should be fine. But a reccommendation for a PSU I would suggest is the Corsair RM1000.

My PC Specs

I would agree with everyone else because the power supply is a little overkill and you wouldn't need that much unless you are planning to go for another 980 in future, if you are then go for the ax1200i but if not i would suggest something like 850w - 1000w. ifor these kind of powers, i would suggest a Corsair RM series power supply because they are really efficient and are rated very high

Edit: I would also suggest learning something about using an SSD as a boot drive and a HDD and a storage drive

This video from linus might help a bit

I considered an ssd but to be honest i have no idea on how to use 2 different storages so I just decided to go for an sshd since it was the thing in the middle....

You install the OS to the SSD, and use the HDD as storage. You just save things to that drive instead of the SSD. for instance, when you install a program, it asks where you want to install it, you would erase the letter C: and replace it with F: (if the HDD was labeled as F:)

It's super easy, and completely worth it.

1. Get an SSD and use Intel smart response technology.

2. For the AIO I would recommend the Enermax Liqtech.
