A used processor

I've recently found a used Intel Core i7-3820 for 150€. There is absolutely no other info but I can contract the seller and ask him... But before I do that I'd like to ask you guys whether it's a good deal? (provided that it works correctly)

Do not pay more than 125, if it has been overclocked then even less than that. Find out what cooling setup he had on it if he did OC.

Don't know about UK market but that's too much USD for an old Sandy Bridge

 

Depends on what you do but in most cases you are better off with a 4690K with the Z97 platform. 

Those old mobos don't go out dirt cheap either.

Worse than a 3770K and X79 is more expensive. Don't do it.

 

If you're looking to get a PC together inexpensively try get a Xeon 1231V3 and a LGA1150 board.
