Help choosing HDD

Go to solution Solved by Godlygamer23,

I would say go with the WD drive, as it has more reviews and proportionally a better rating.

I'm looking for HDD to store game, budget is low £50 but I only want 500GB storage. I am currently very indecisive between two drives from seagate and WD.  They are similar price (with deliver) and same specs. WD Blue Drive (link) and Seagate (link), I am indecisive because there have been more reviews about HDD that didn't work from seagate and some have said that WD is little slower. Also is WD more reliable than seagate?

Both are good companies, and both are neck and neck with reliability. You can look up reviews for the different hard drives and make your decision based off of that.

What are you gonna use the drive for? ^^ I would usually just get what gives me the most amount of GB for the price-point i was thinking about. WD and Seagate are both extraordinary companies! ;) More GB = Better! Whatever you chose you can't go wrong, just saying! :) My next drive will be a 7200RPM drive because i will record to it, and i have a 3TB USB3.0 drive for the backup of those files ;D

What about performance?

May be the same. My WD Caviar Blue is fast enough.(though it's not for booting)
