Yes it does.

Most 2xx cards from AMD and 7xx cards or 9xx cards from nvidia support it AFAIK.

im pretty sure any dx11 card supports it?

i thoguht i read the somewhere

But for examples the 660/690 would have limited functions in comparisons to 9series

any card with 11 support will support 12, but not fully. the r200 series for example will support it but not all the bells and whistles. stuff like graphic effects exclusive to 12 probably won't be supported but performance increases should. but agian, there isn't much officially stated about it.

My rig:
CPU: i5 4690k 24/7 @4.4ghz (1.165v) Max 4.7ghz (1.325v) COOLER: NZXT Kraken X61 MOBO: Asus Z97-A   RAM: 16GB Crucial Ballistix Tactical   GPU: EVGA GTX 970 SSC   PSU: EVGA GS 650W   CASE: NZXT Phantom 530 HDD: WD Caviar Blue 1TB + WD Black 2TB

Wait so your telling me a 290/290x wont be able to support DX12 fully? Im sure I have read many times it will. Same with the 900/800M series from Nvidia.

No it wont. The only cards with full hardware support are 960, 970, 980 Maxwell.

You can't be serious.  Hyperthreading is a market joke?

Ok so why does AMD come out saying they will have full DX12 Support for GCN cards aka 290/290x?

Most features will be supported. Not hardware support obviously. That article is a year old. How would a card that is almost 2 years old have full hardware support for DX 12? Here is a more recent article http://www.extremetech.com/gaming/198204-most-directx-12-features-wont-require-a-new-graphics-card

Plenty of info out there stating older cards wont have support for all features.

The last few updates to Microsoft’s DirectX platform have come with the requirement that you get new hardware to enjoy the benefits, but that’s not going to be the case with DirectX 12. According to Microsoft, DirectX 12 will work with most existing gaming hardware, at least for the most part. Some DX12 features will still need updated GPUs, but all the basic features should work.
Note, Maxwell is actually the first GPU with full DirectX 12 support

You can't be serious.  Hyperthreading is a market joke?
