the tcase for that CPU is 105 c (see above link) so @92 you're still well within safe limits.

the tcase for that CPU is 105 c so you're actually still way within safe temps.

Kindly update this thread with your laptop model number, the game you are playing, and your ambient temperature (or which city you are located it). This will allow us to better diagnose what the issue is and whether or not it is resolvable.

-Laptop model asus s46cm

-Games i played just cause 2, csgo, sims 4, cod aw. All games have noticable frame drop after 15 minutes play

-im living at jakarta, indonesia which have temp around 33-35c

sure it wasn't the GPU that was throttling?

you could replace the thermal paste i did that on my mates old laptop that was hitting 120c and turning off underload. after it was sitting about 50C underload.

Based on its form factor and what you've told us as to trying to solve the problem, I deduce the problem lies with there being inadequate cooling.

From what I'm seeing, your notebook is extraordinarily thin for that GPU that's essentially a GT555M. I recommend purchasing a cooling pad, just to direct a bit more air into that, or alternatively, using it with lighter games. For some comparison, an alienware with its beefy cooling is required to keep its former 555M under control with its 35W TDP.

You can also buy Laptop Cooling Stands/pads. Try using it on a solid surface.

"Have you tried turning it off and on again?"

92C is not at all that unusual for a laptop. Many laptops from that generation push up to past 100C junction. unless the throtteling is very noticable, you should just accept with it, it's just how laptops are.

What you might be able to do, if not doing it already, is (if ofcourse possible) manually force the fans up to 100%. I know of laptops that will only go to 100% at like 95 or 100C.
