Pulsing Fans

Just upgraded from stock cooling to a Nepton 280L AIO, had to RMA the first one, pump made a lovely grinding noise.

 

I have the fans connected to my only Sys fan header using the included Y split, however when running at anything lower than about 75% they continuously pulse. its almost as if the power is cut to them for a second. 

 

No temperatures are fluctuating, so not a heat thing. 

 

 

Specs are

 

Gigabyte H87N-WiFi

I7-477K 

EVGA GTX970

16 GB DDR3

 

Win 8.1 64bit

550 watt PSU

 

Any ideas how i can solve this issue?

I Just disconnected one fan and its seems to be running normally...

Can anyone thing of a reason why i cant run 2 fans of 1 header?

You'll probably find your MBU cant handle 2 fans at once, either put them on separate fan headers or grab yourself a fan controller and run them off that.
