apparently it's having a new render put in by the end of "this" month which is supposed to drastically "improve" fps.

 

You could wait and see, or just buy the i5 now which will obviously be better for DayZ either way. If you want to save money or put more into you GPU though you should just wait and see how it runs after the updates
