Help me find a controller card

Go to solution Solved by Guest,

I found those, but their Windows 8 and later support seemed questionable. Do you have first hand experience with them working?

I will take the cheapest option, however expensive it may be, lol.

Worked on 8

Requirements:

  • 2 SATA ports minimum
  • SATA III isn't required, SATA II is enough
  • PCIe x1, x4 or PCI legacy only
  • Windows 8/ 8.1 x64 drivers
  • Cheap

I don't know why, but for this type of item I'm having a nightmarish time finding anything using the normal sites for price aggregates in Norway.

In case the moderators do not ban me as requested, this is a notice that I have left and am not coming back.

I think it's a HighPoint 640L or 1220 is what you're after.

Both officially support Win 8 according to their site provided it's the new generation of the card that is flashed with different firmware. One of the guys at worked picked up a 640L tonight so I'll ask him tomorrow.
