It signals certain codes for things like once my system wouldnt turn on and i had to look up the code it was giving me to figure out what was wrong

After I got my Asus Sabertooth Mark S (Z97) I wondered what that little red/orange LED is trying to tell me. It doesn't bother me, but would be nice to know what it is actually for.
Does anyone know?

I forgot to say, that it is also on when my system isn't even running.
