So me and my friend just built computer, and we thought oh, this should be easy. So without touching anything in the BOIS except the boot and the fan speed, we just installed windows and got the thing running. It was a bit glitchy, but a driver we didn't download because we are idiots fixed the issue. Now we replaced the Motherboard (Originally Asus), Got a new graphics card (not 2 way SLI yet, awaiting new PSU), a 32GB kit of ram, and added a 300GB hard drive. Now I don't know whether its the drivers or not, but I did not have time to download them, only the Gigabyte driver (we originally had a reference card) because I had to go run to do something. The next day, my friend reports that every hour or so the computer randomly turns on(still does) and stays on for 10 minutes (displays don't turn on) till it turns off again. The fans go super speed, and he can't get any sleep.(This was solved, It was the hourly dehumidifier) He also has 2 Monitors, and he'd been using HDMI-HDMI and DVI-HDMI on the graphics card. Now this new graphics card only outputs into one cable or the "first" one avaliable and not recognizing the other one. So he went with one monitor for a day. The resolution settings also kept changing to 720 every restart when he has it on 1080.The day after, he decides to play League with us. He's perfectly ok till the loading screen. It shows that on his screen he's loaded and everyone else is at like 25%, but on our screens he was at 25% and we were all waiting. He then went ahead and tried to turn off his computer. The buttons on the case didn't work so he had to turn the power off. As soon as he timed out on teamspeak the game had started. We then resorted to just not touching that computer and going to (we all regret this, don't get me wrong) a Macbook Pro to continue his game, so not to get banned. Im coming over to his place in a week to try to fix it, anyone of you LTT guys got a clue? Heres the build below:

I don't really know what is happening. But how long was this built ago?

The part list just does not make much sense.

And is this used for like, 4K rendering?

Why the 32GB RAM?!

And for a 4770 (A year old CPU) you would have gotten the now dead Z87 chipset. Not Z97, that is for the current gen CPUs. (Technically it should not cause issues, but it is something to have thought about)

Also try removing the WiFi card, those always cause issues.

Looks like a PSU or Motherboard problem. If you have any other working one lying around, switch it with your one. That way you'll know what causes the problem

We are replacing the semi modular with a full modular soon

The on-off problem was fixed. But everything else isn't

This was built last year during christmas. Parts don't make sense because these are just some spare parts he was able to use (I don't want to put the story behind these parts, too confusing) 32GB was given to him for free (Also don't want to talk about, too much personal connections explaining)

I will try the WiFi Card

What was the order of the drivers installed?

Chipset driver

SATA driver

GPU

Audio

WLAN

Is this how the driver are supposed to be installed? I will try this after conformation.

The drivers went:

Asus

Nividia

WLAN

Then it went again:

nothing

Gigabyte

nothing

(With the new board. The old board was an asus one, and we originally had a reference gtx 980, setting that up for SLI when we get a new PSU and cords)
