the cpu is 36% during gaming. And is 3-4% when not

btw I using win8 x64, does that affects anything?

that could effect old games such as age of empires II... how old is you computer, how long have you used it, did it come with Win8 or did you upgrade,  when did this problem occur

Have you checked and made sure you have plugged the monitor into the GTX660, and not the integrated onboard graphics port on the motherboard?

IF you have a list of games you are running and fps you are getting (use fraps) would be helpful.

The game is new metro:last light, mlb2k13 and deadpool

The computer is recently assembled which does not exceeds 1 month old

The win8 was the box version which I purchased and installed to the computer as the first operating system on it.

This problem had never been fixed and occurred since I installed and started the first game I wanted to play.

And thank you for helping

I am sure it pluged in the right one.

I have tested with metro:last night, I have set 1280x720 and everything turned off.I have got around 15~20fps. The maximum is 24fps

Thank you for checking my question

unless you plugged it in the wrong port your gtx660 is defective, are you absolutely 100% sure you plugged the monitor into the right port?

I have a 4670k and a 660ti with 8gb ram and metro last light runs at about 70fps average on very high, no ssaa and no tesselation at 1920x1080 so im not surprised your saying metro doesn't run smoothly, It's playable on mine and i have quite a difference in hardware specs, Metro last light is a very demanding game, Are you sure you haven't got vsync on in all your games? If it's off go into the  nVidia control panel and turn any vsync off and getting the geforce experience from nvidias website will help in optimizing your settings in games

Is the monitor port connected to your motherboard or is it connected to the back of the graphics card.

I had an issue where after switching graphics cards my games were a bit choppy, what I did to fix my issue was to load windows in safemode and uninstall the graphics drivers (tried in normal windows but didn't fix the issue until I did it in safemode).

Once I had done that then restart the pc and install the graphics drivers again.

It was a strange issue but this is what fixed it for me.

Are the power cables plugged into the GPU? Is the monitor plugged into the back of the GPU? Last Light is a  very demanding game btw... With my setup I would get like 20 fps.

Also, have you installed all of the necessary drivers? Like the Motherboard, GPU... We need to know all of this to diagnose the problem with your pc.

first open the case and check the wires. make sure that the gpu is plugged into the top most pci-e slot on the motherboard. connect the monitor to the gpu output, not the 1 attached to the motherboard. boot the system and go into bios look for the pci-e settings and set it to peg 1 or what ever is used to set the gfx to the first pci-e slot and disable cpu/gpu at the same time. save and quit. reboot and hope you see a signal on your monitor.
