For some unknown reason my internet is behaving weird. I had a new router installed not to long ago and after a while I started noticing problems. For example YouTube videos would start and always stop at 0.03 to buffer on HD then some of them would switch to lower quality like my internet isn't good enough (I have a 50 Mbps DL). Before I was watching 1080p no problem. Sometimes when I open a flash game it just gets stuck on the loading screen. And pictures on reddit get loaded half way and freeze.

What seems to happen is that the page displays and then stops loading even though it says it still is. I went to Chrome settings and disabled "Predict network actions to improve page load performance" under Privacy which seemed to fix it but soon after it's still doing the same thing.

I contacted my ISP and they said there's nothing wrong with the router and the connection isn't dropping. Which makes sense since I have internet it's just the pages are behaving weirdly.

Anyone have a clue what is happening?

What browser are you using? ignore that, didn't see you said chrome, so: When was the last time you cleared your cache?

I swear if anyone suggests to just buy an SSD you will get a slap.

Downloading programs from CNet is not a good idea, as they will commonly include unwanted, and sometimes dangerous bloatware... The more you know.

Reset router to factory settings and than set it up again.

It happens to me every ~6 months :)

Do you ever clear your internet cache on your computer?

lol yes.

I know router is causing a problem. Its old piece of junk that probably has bad battery and from time to time forgets everything so I need to reset it on factory.

Lol. Have you talked to your ISP about getting one from them? Or do they not provide them? You should probably get a new one if it's causing issues like that :P

This one is theirs.  I changed it 3 times and every time got other one and same problem happens. But soon I will be moving to cable router and other company so bye bye junk adsl routers :P

My router is 2 weeks old since I just had it setup I doubt it could be causing the issue since the internet connection is stable. I also have an extender could that cause a problem at all? Even though I'm connected with a cable...

Alright, then your issue may lie elsewhere.

You might have malware or virus(es), so you want to install some anti-virus(es)

http://windows.micro...ntials-download

First, install this, run it, a full scan, see if it finds anything.

https://www.malwarebytes.org/

Then use that, to see if that finds anything.

Before you install those, uninstall everything else, all the cleaning programs, uninstall, them, even CCLeaner.

Once you have run Malwarebytes and MSE, then you can get CCleaner again.

https://www.piriform.com/ccleaner

Download it from there, the official CCleaner website. Chose the pro version trial so that it will download from the piriform website rather than the filehippo website they host the free version download on.

Then you need to select everything in the Applications Tab of CCLeaner

And then in the windows tab, select everything, so it looks like this:

Image for reference.

Once you've done that, you run the cleaner twice. Just to make sure you get everything.

Then you want to go into the registry tab:

5c923fe1ac22b01de62c599c4b472c0d.png

Then you want to hit "Scan For Issues..." Once it has finished scanning, click "Fix selected issues..." (Make sure you select ALL the issues) It will then prompt you to save the registry entries, SAY YES, it will default and save to your "My Documents" area of your HDD, so just save it. Then fix ALL of the issues, and then repeat the from Scan for issues again until it doesn't find anything, and then reboot your computer and see if there is a difference.

Hope this helps!  :)

I coped this from another post I made because it's just something that's easier to to rather than re-writing out this whole post.  Original copy can be found here: http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/312201-refresh-windows-without-losing-programs/?p=4243467
