H100i Coolant

Go to solution Solved by MrSuperb,

The asetek 570lx is rated for operation temperatures between +5ºC and +35ºC and for storage temerpatures between -20ºC to +70ºC.

According to some other forums the Corsair coolant consists of 50% water and 50% ethylene glycol.

I'd say 0ºC is no problem at all and also -15ºC SHOULD be fine.

What is the coolant used in the H100i and how cold can it get? Is it like Anti-Freeze in a car with a -40 rating?

I want to run it in a cold environment that will get below freezing (0 Celcius, Minimum maybe -10 to -15 Celcius)

Is the H100i okay at this point? Or is it going to freeze the coolant and explode it?

The coolant used in a H100i is distilled water with some additives to prevent organic build-up and corrosion.

EG:Water(50:50) btw has a freezing point of -37.8ºC

Thanks, this is exactly what I was hoping to find out. When I have tryed searching it, there was one time where I managed to find something close, but still didn't have the info I needed. Every other time I search I just got people talking about the temps they should be getting or the overclock they got.
