New computer problem 2: HDD

Go to solution Solved by Arty,

-snip-

right click in disk management in the black space  and click new volume then format it

So....now the HDD storage drive I installed in this new office PC, is not showing up in windows, and only shows up in the BIOS under the save and exit page, below the option for "boot override"

However, the drive does not show up in boot order.

I have tried diskmgmt.msc. The drive shows up as "Drive 0" and shows something 998gb available, but does not show up at the top under volumes.

I clicked on drive 0, clicked "convert to dynamic drive" because I couldn't find format.

I checked the cables

I check the sata ports

switched both.

set windows to not hide empty drives i the computer folder.

Still does not show up in the computer folder.

What do?

prob the way the hdd was set up

It was a WD Black in my rig, instead of WD blue, both 1tb.

Same setup for both, OS on SSD and storage on 1tb HDD
