Need help choosing new Gpu

NakedChicken

I've been looking at new graphics cards for awhile and I'm still undecided. I could buy a 970, 290x(but lose use for my shield), or a 780 ti classified from a friend for $350. I tried playing on Nvidia surround and I didn't like it, bought 3 cheap 1080p panels and returned them for a single vg248qe. I want to push the 144 hz or at least maintain 100+ fps in games. So my question is which one should I buy? I would overclock and watercooling is a possibility down the road. I'm leaning towards the 780 ti classified, are there any issues with them? I've seen they overclock like crazy, especially on water. I would wait for the 390x if I didn't have a shield, but I do so I'd like to use it. I may upgrade to 1440p when it becomes cheaper too. I absolutely hate my reference 680 and I want to get rid of it. its loud, hot, slow in new titles, and the 2 gbs holds me back.

The 780TI sounds like a good deal.

Right now it's almost at the same level as the GTX 980.
