Big please wait sign choices almost all of screen, as though it were loading a message. I can't click the cancel button, and the sections of screen it doesn't cover load normally, but I can't interact with them.

I suspect that somebody has set that as your Desktop Wallpaper as a joke...

Try changing your wallpaper ;)

Incorrect. It is clearly trying to load something, and it covers ask my icons but a few, and I can't interact with those few. Any menus I try to open except for CTRL alt del appear behind it.

Try system restore. Boot from your Windows disc, select repair my computer then system restore. Go back to when it was working last.

so CTRL ALT DEL appear on top ? That includes the task manager? If so, see what's open/see anything suspicious and terminate it.

Is this a brand new PC or did this just start happening one day?

Can you boot into safe mode ? (mash F8 on startup right after the bios screen but before windows load)

If you can, open the start menu and type in " msconfig ", go in the startup tab, disable anything suspicious/unnecessary. (if you are unsure, post the list here, we will help you) After that reboot and see if everything works fine, if so, start an anti virus scan (AVG, AVAST, or whatever else) then do an anti malware scan (Malwarebyte). Malwarebyte itself can generally find most things, but it's not an anti virus.

If you are still unable to access anything because that Please Wait junk is still there, there's something wrong and I suggest you either system restore or just Format. (if this is a HP/Acer or any other Brand name PC, there should be an option in the start menu to go back to factory default, you normally can access that option in Safe Mode as well)

Because anything more than that and it would take a long time/some more advanced knowledge to fix it properly.

You could shutdown the PC during the boot process to make it show the Safe Mode / System restore option.

then try safe mode.

Windows boots immediately. No login screen, no option to enter bios, no time to hit f8.

So if you do ctrl alt del, you see the menu for it, can you select "change user" / close session ? If it works, can you then click on Reboot in the bottom right corner? (which should go through the entire boot process, which is slower)

Yeah. I changed users, other users log on just fine. Except I'm only in middle school, and this is a family PC, so I need access to my user. I've tried logging out and logging back in. No good.

Oh I see, so this issue ONLY happens on YOUR user account?

If that's the case, just delete your account and remake it from an administrator account. You should be able to access and copy your files before doing so from the other account. You will also be given the choice to just delete the user's data, you can choose not to and access them yourself later in C:\Users\*yourname*

Problem solved! Had to research a new way to bet into safe mode, then run task manager and end a weird program. It was a bug related to OneDrive update that made a weird program run. Thank gosh a friend of mine has a dad who is a software developer. If you're reading this, you know who you are! Thanks!
