I'm looking for a new PSU, as my no-name PSU is starting to smell like burned plastic since I upgraded my GPU, which has been worrying me heavily. My budget is not very high (around 70 euro's), but I'm not looking for anything top-notch. I do not do overclocking, and I have a non-k CPU anyway.

My current specs:

I5 4670

R9 290

1 HDD, 2x4 ddr-1600 ram sticks

Don't think any other information is needed.

I had my eyes on the following PSUs:

Cooler Master G750M
Cooler Master B700
Cooler Master G650M

They seem to be the only reasonable quality PSUs I could find for my budget, but I was worried that I might be misinformed about the quality part. As I said, I don't need anything top-notch, just something that will run my system. Which one of those would do best? I have no plans of upgrading (besides my motherboard maybe, but does that even matter?).

i think you can get away with the cooler master G650M. http://www.techpowerup.com/reviews/CoolerMaster/G550M/3.htmlis where i find so decent in depth review about psu, i like the nerdy stuff. i'm not sure how far 70 euro can go sorry :( but, other good "brands are normally Seasonic, evga, antec, corsair "ax line is very nice" alot of these psu are really made by sesonic or superflower and re branded.

Thank you for your reply, I know that 70 euros don't go far indeed. The G series were the best ones I could find around this price range, rest are all garbage tier stuff which seem like they'd break within 2 minutes of installing them. If the G650 is sufficient for my system, I'll go with it. As long as it can power my system and without smelling like burned plastic, I'll be happy. I don't really know much when it comes to PSU's though, I don't know why but I really just don't like them, although I really like working on everything else.

i have been looking and you're right but, i did find these

http://www.newegg.com/global/nl/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817153199

http://www.newegg.com/global/nl/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817438026

the semi modular can help with cable management/ airflow also they are gold rated (doesn't really matter). the psu you picked and these should last you a long time (5 years or so) glhf with the build.

EDIT: about the quality of the psu if you're going to look at one thing only, look at what temp is it rated at 40C or 50C. that can tell you the overall quality of the caps and other things not perfect by any mean ( you want a oscilloscope)

Can't find the item :(

I think I'll just have to go with the g650m. Atleast it's better than what I currently have, which is a MS-TECH-N750-VAL-CM. Looking at the specs and using my freshly acquired knowledge, it REALLY sucks.

don't say "have to" like its bad, its a good psu, i'm going over the spec and ripple, it looks legit, they test them at 40-45c even at full load everything looks good, hell 110% load looks alright too. for a brooze psu this thing gets very close to scoring sliver.

EDIT: 5 year warranty on it too. if its not dead when you get it or with-in the first month or so its going to last years, console will be doing 4k gaming by the time you get a new psu :)

You wrote you live in the Netherlands right? Is ordering through Germany an option? Alternate or so should be able to deliver in EU countries especially when they are that close to Germany.

If you really wanted an EVGA, the German Alternate had the 750W. I´m sure they will send it to your address in the Netherlands.

But I understand that this will kill your budget by far.

So this as stated before http://www.techpowerup.com/reviews/CoolerMaster/G550M/3.html will be your best option I guess then.
