New Graphics Card Booting problems

Hello everybody!

I have a really weird problem with my computer:

I recently bought a GTX 970 (evga), installed it in my case, and at boot up, the phase with the bios logo showing up is EXTREMELY long, like 2-3mins. After that, everything seems to work fine. So what i wanted to do is change some bios settings, thinking that a simple tweak would do the job. But, surprise! When i try accessing the bios menu; black screen.

I re-installed my old gpu (gigabyte gtx 650) and changed some settings and one setting seemed to resolve the problem: "ENABLE ONBOARD GAPHICS". Now the problem is that, with this option activated, ive got plenty of other problems (with drivers, etc).

Now my question is: how can i solve the original problem? (Slow bios startup/bios blackscreen)

PS: -with the old gpu ive got NO problems at all.

-my windows 7 is running on an ssd drive that i installed after buying the computer, so it wasnt originally on that drive.

My setup:

Motherboard : Gigabyte h77-ds3h

Cpu: intel core i7

Drives: - 1TO western digital Hard drive

- 256go samsung ssd

Power Supply: FSP HEXA 500-550W

Not knowing all your details, is possible that this new GPU needs an extra power cable that's not connected, new driver needed (I wouldn't think so) or that it's simply a defective card?

All the cables are connected and the card can't be defective, because, as i said, after the slow boot everything works just fine. I can play almost all games on ultra, with nearly 60fps. The problem seems to be some BIOS configuration stuff.

To be more clear, when i enabled "Internal Graphics" and re-installed the new card (GTX 970) the PC boots up fast, i CAN see the BIOS, and all the games do work fine. BUT, when i update drivers, the screen becomes black and i have to reboot. But the point is that this problem is caused by the fact that i enabled the internal graphics. My question is how to resolve the original problem. (Slow boot/Can't see BIOS)
