MSI GTX 970 Core clock issues

Go to solution Solved by hawx1,

First you should replace your Graphics card driver and install other driver (may be old recommended driver or beta drive.... then see what happend

I just updated to the latest recommended drivers doing a clean install from a guide on overclockers.uk (i think). Since then, my MSI GTX 970 TwinFrozr V has had its core clock running 700mhz and lower in games like BF4, giving me low framerates. I suspect that there might be a setting somewhere, but I cannot seem to find it. The GPU usage is 98-99% all the time, but core clock adjusts itself.

How do I get it back up to the 1500mhz overclock I have? BTW v-sync is off(seems like everybody blames it for everything :D)

Edit: And temps are controlled, at max going 45 with this core clock nonsense. 1250mV is going to the core(+50 from 1200). Before this issue, it was reaching almost 75c because of my very relaxed fan profile(going for silence)

This is not a bottleneck issue either, 4790k 4.4ghz.

I am so incredibly stupid. I am so sorry.

I had forgotten to try and restart the pc. It fixed it, now back to high core clock.

I don't even have an excuse, little bit embarrasing :*

Thanks for trying to help me though, now I know what to do if it doesn't work to restart I guess :)
