I'm looking to upgrade two case fans I need an intake and then an exhaust fan, I was thinking of buying two Noctua NF-F12 PWM Cooling Fan, is that the best for the price? Also I need a 4 pin so I couldn't find it, but is that a 4 pin? On newegg one of the pictures it shows doesn't look like it, like my 4 pin. So I need help finding a really good 4 pin, looks don't matter for me.

Noctuas are the best. End of the story

Noctua is the best cooling wise, but doesnt look all that good to me, but thats a subjective matter i guess

They actually aren't, Noctua fans are superb in terms of build quality and longevity (and their customer support is just lovely), but there are several fans that perform better while being more quiet (and subjectively looking better as well). The main points of reference would be airflow/noise and pressure/noise, and Gentle Typhoons as well as EK Vardar fans (and many others) are simply better in those aspects.

Yeah the reviews on them are crazy.

And yeah the color scheme is nasty, but if they're good fans I can look past that, haha.

NF-F12's aren't that good as exhaust fans but yes--they are 4pin fans and don't come in a 3pin variety. You should be looking at NF-S12A's instead.

Huh? Is anything unclear? 2 of the main aspects for high performance "quiet" fans are how much air they can move and how much pressure they can build up. The best way to compare fans like that is by dialing in a certain noise level in a standardized environment and then measure how much pressure they provide and how much air they can transport. You then get a pressure/noise and an airflow/noise figure, which can then be used to compare different fans.

As long as the typhoons are gentle
