Hi,
I am looking to build a $3400 AUD build for gaming. It will be used for 1440p gaming with good performance. Must be x99 (for REASONS tongue.gif ) MY budget is around $3400 AUD, which is around 20 cents US biggrin.gif 
Also, I would like a black and white theme is a great looking case.

I could right a friggin 5 page document on why x99, but im just gunna sum it up quickly :D - I beleive it is the best platform for future expansion, I also the fact that I like high core CPUs :) Only ever used computers with min 8 threads :)

I hope you know that you are dumb. If you said "hey, i want to do some real heavy video rendering work for 10 different youtube channels at once", maybe "I'll be using some heavy professional applications" and even "I want raw power for BOINC purposes", then I would understand the need for X99. But as is.... you are just thinking wrong. Like, REALLY wrong.

 

At any rate, here. This should suit you better. You can add a second 980, if you want.
