z77 upgrade for windows 10?

Go to solution Solved by Arty,

So I was thinking just now about upgrading to windows 10 when it releases later this year, and I was wondering what sort of updates I would need to do for my system. My current board, the MSI z77 g45 gaming motherboard, supports both windows 7 & 8. When windows 10 release what sort of updates to this board will I need to do. Any help would be appreciated!

Well Most Windows 7 drivers are compatible with 8 and most 8 drivers are compatible with 10

so Allz Good

Pretty sure the motherboard doesn't really matter much. "Works on windows 8" and slogans like that are just selling points. Marketing bs.

Would that also mean that most windows 7 drivers are compatible with windows 10?

Yes

Not Really, The Board has to be able to support a chip that works on the os

It used to be where the board + chip wouldn't be able to work on newer os's

But now Maybe, but maybe not.

It may be more optimized if possible.
