When I play PC Games it is always with my friends on Skype, and I do not like wearing headsets it's just an annoyance for me. So I was wondering what would be the best solution for me to talk to my friends, I'm looking for a desk mic recommendation because I use small in-ear headphones. something that won't pick up background noise and something that I don't have to have directly in front of my face. I was looking at the Yeti Pro but not sure.

For Skype... Blue Snowball ICE or Blue snakeflake.

i have the snowball ice and i constantly find myself wanting a mute button rather than alt+tab out and press mute on skype

Just set up a hot key to mute Skype.

boop

I would honestly just look at the Blue Snowball and Yeti. You really don't need much for Skype. If you wanted to look into something a little more serious you could check out something like the Shure SM58, but you have to pick up a few more things to get that running.
