Can i put stuff from nvidia into amd?

This is probbly gonna be the stupidest question you have ever seen in the history of my idiotic questions. So a lot of games suck on Nvidia phyx and stuff like this and the sucking is doing quite good , so my question is: Can i use any of nvidia's stuff on my r9 280?

AMD also have those 'physx', but nvidia's is an 'advanced physx', which is provided by separate chip into your graphics card, amd is processing this physx with core itself.

I believe if you have a non-nvidia GPU the PhysX is done on the CPU

Actually AMD doesnt have any PhysX.

 

Although, you can run off PhysX with your CPU but thats a bad idea of performance. Just buy an Nvidia

I think its PhysX and ShadowPlay.. not to mention GeForce experience on an R9...?

Games dont benefit alot from PhysX, Most games use the CPU to process particles.

There isnt much that makes Nvidia better for gaming than AMD, It is up to preference.

PhysX on AMD GPUs? No. I've only ever heard of it back on the HD series someone managed to hack it on... but it was very short lived... maybe it didn't work properly I dunno, I never read into it too much. The only time PhysX really matters is a small handful of games anyways that do epic particle effects such as Planetside 2, Warframe, Borderlands, some racing games and a few other games on Unreal Engine 3.

NVIDIA doesn't make x86 processors because Intel blocked them from using a license on a company that NVIDIA bought out... that's why sadly NVIDIA never got the chance to make their own APUs despite having such a strong base (That Tegra K1 & now the X1.. could you imagine that on x86? Dayum!)

Intel is AMD's competition in the x86 CPU market. Yes, the i5 is a Quad core CPU... but it performs just as good as an AMD eight core CPU due to Intel's solution being a lot more efficient with more instructions per cycle... so for AMD's CPUs to keep up they have to work that much harder and are built on on a smaller Lithography (22nm vs AMD's 32nm) so they also generate more heat...

As for a battle of good Vs evil? Sorry dude but that sounds ridiculously fanboyish of you lol... When it comes down to it? It's more about price-to-performance and what you want out of your PC Gaming rig.

I'm not biased at all... I've had AMD CPU's (AMD Athlons and Athlon64s back in the day) I've had Intel CPUs (Core2Duo, Core2Quad, i7 series).. I've had 3DFX, AMD and NVIDIA GPUs (3DFX Voodoo 4 32MB PCI lol... AMD Radeon 9600 pro, Radeon 9800 pro and a bunch of NVIDIA GPUs starting with the Geforce 2 MX 220). It all comes down to good price-to-performance for me.

The reason why I tend to have Intel and NVIDIA these days is Intel CPUs on the high end are just a lot more efficient and a solid i5 such as the i5-4690 still kicks a lot of ass since there's still a lot of games that struggle to properly use multi-threaded optimizations... maybe DirectX 12 will change that but that's in the future and not right now where a bunch of DirectX 11 and OpenGL games don't take full advantage of CPUs. NVIDIA tends to release every once in a while really amazing high end GPUs such as my current ones the GTX 680 and the GTX 980. I only have two GTX 680s right now because I bought them off a bud when Dogecoin mining dried up and he was selling off his cryptocoin mining hardware.

So please, don't get one-sided... keep your eyes open, look at good deals for your budget... don't constrain yourself to just one brand otherwise you never know if you'll get boned at that price range. Cheap but cost effective gaming rig? AMD FX-6350 with the dirt cheap R9 270X is great. Want a strong gaming rig on the high end without breaking your bank account? Intel i5-4690k with an AMD R9 290X. Want a badass rig? Intel i7 with an NVIDIA GTX 980 or wait and see if AMD can retake the crown with their AMD R9 390X in March.
