Any thoughts on how this looks?

In a few weeks I will be starting my first build, not some cheap overpriced pre built thing.

EDIT: I have 1 500gb hard drive and 2 250gb hard drives (all run at 7200rpm) that I will temporarily be using untill I feel like getting a terrabyte drive

I also already have the motherboard and ssd as I got them both for under $200 during black Friday last year.

It looks like a brilliant gaming PC... if that's what you're going for :P  However FYI, you'll be better off getting a single 980 than SLI 970's

Yeah but I have a secret friend who works at a computer store, they're allowed to use the employee discount for friends/family, as long as the items are not over $400. So i'm able to get both of them for $500 :D

That's not really true... I used to run a FX-6350 @ 5175 MHz and SLI EVGA 760's overclocked too on an NEX650G and this power supply is superior in quality and pretty much every other aspect.

(The power supply also ran a watercooling loop, 3 HDD, 2 SSD, 24" White LED strip and 8 fans)

I know that it's possible with 650W. However the optimal PSU configuration is load between 50-80%, not only will the PSU live longer, it'll also emit cleaner power ( Making for better OC's) and it'll be more efficient.

Oh I know,  you just stated it was too low. I totally agree with what you just said though.

Do you have anything backing your "cleaner power" statement? Ripple suppression and voltage regulation is usually pretty damn constant throughout the spectrum of capabilities of a power supply.

Great build, just the corsair fans are not so great. Consider Noctua fans, Fractal fans or Silverstone fans (AP121).

Noctuas are good but fuggly and expensive,
