Help with anti-static procedures

Go to solution Solved by SImoHayha,

no need to get an anti-static brand or anything...just make sure to build on a table or something...and take your socks off and just touch the metal part in your pc case

Ive ordered a whole new set of parts recently, and they're all scheduled to arrive in about a month.. except for my case, which due to a promotion i failed to notice at the checkout page, was upgraded to expedited shipping. and so, I've decided to put it to use for the following month and transfer the parts from my current case into this new one, absolutely everything. I'm familiar with working with the parts, I don't need any help there, but i've never worked with parts like these so unprepared. I'm already stretched pretty thin financially, so picking up some anti-static surfaces and devices, while doable for the safety of my PC, is very undesireable. So I would like to know if you guys have any D.I.Y. anti-static solutions to ensure for safe building, that can be made out of everyday, in home items, I would greatly appreciate it. If worse comes to worse, I will spend to money for some precautions, and i definitely will when im putting all of the new parts in, that's not even questionable. Thanks :)
