I believe it should work as long as you have Windows 10 and a DX 11 card.

DX12 will be usable on your 760 in whatever application that supports it. For example, if a game has DX12 compatibility, there will be an API setting to switch between different API's like DX11 and DX12.

Right now it looks like it'll be Windows 10 exclusive.

Heyyo,

Yes it'll work on DirectX 12... BUT, it won't be able to take full advantage of DirectX 12 features such as NVLink (maybe not even Maxwell GPUs but that's to be seen) as it is a noted feature on NVIDIA's Pascal architecture which creates direct links between the GPUs and CPU without the same bandwith limitations of PCI-E which sounds amazing on paper... but we shall see how it translates to real world performance gains once actual benchmarks and everything come out. :)

Damn.. Finally i have to leave my beloved windows 7.
I have wondows 8.1 on my gaming laptop and i don't like it.
Lets hope this Windows 10 won't let us down

If it's over the whole start menu thing? Just use Classic Shell. It's awesome and it gives you the choices between Classic (Windows XPish), Two Columb (Vistaish) and Windows 7.

Yea I was gutted when I heared that DX12 will not be coming to windows 7. As a Windows 7 user I love it. My daughter uses windows 8 and I hate it. I just hoping at maybe just maybe DX12 might come to windows 7 but im not counting on it. :(

Yea.. Windows 7 makes world a better place
