SpecialTech UK - gone out of business

CerberusStyle

Its seems another well known PC specialist has sadly gone out of business.

QUOTE:

It is with a heavy heart and much regret that I have to inform you that Specialtech is now closed.
The company has been placed into voluntary liquidation. All outstanding orders have been sent or refunded.

Thank you to everyone for your support over the years, it has been a pleasure to serve the community. See you on the other side!

Well this sucks. I always relied on them for parts as they probably had the best service in the UK.

Seems like you spelled the title wrong.

Someone told Luke and Linus at CES 2017 to "Unban the legend known as Jerakl" and that's about all I've got going for me. (It didn't work)

Goddammit I was just about to order braided cables from them.

I cannot be held responsible for any bad advice given.

I've no idea why the world is afraid of 3D-printed guns when clearly 3D-printed crossbows would be more practical for now.

My rig: The StealthRay. Plans for a newer, better version of its mufflers are already being made.

  • 1 month later...

Just found out about this, having tried to hit their site and then doing a news search.

Article I found http://www.bit-tech.net/news/bits/2015/02/19/specialtech-liquidation/1

What a shame, like FrozenPC, they were the main guys for the UK and a pleasure to deal with.

I blame nVidia and Intel for making their stuff too efficient. AMD's been trying to keep the watercooling market going, but alas, as their sales have dwindled, so has the watercooling market :(

P.S. The last line's a joke, please don't take it seriously.

CPU: FX 6300 @ stock Mobo: Gigabyte 990FX UD5 v3.0 GPU: 1 x R9 290 4GB RAM: 24GB DDR3 1600 SSD: Kingston HyperX 3K 120GB HDD: 1 x 1TB & 1 x 500GB PSU: BeQuiet PowerZone 1000W Case: Coolermaster Elite 370 (upside down due to lack of stick thermal pads for memory heatsinks) CPU Cooler: Thermalright Ultra Extreme 120 GPU Coolers: Thermalright HR03-GT Fans: 5 x Akasa Apache Blacks, 1 x Corsair 120mm SP HP (GPU) & 1 x Noctua 92mm
Most of this was from mining rig, hence the scewy specs (especially PSU)
