Posted February 18, 2015 I've got an Asus VG248QE main monitor and an Acer SL231hbid second (144Hz main, 60Hz alt, but my VG248QE is set to 120 for ULMB), and no matter what I do my games seem to jitter/lag/stutter even on non intensive pages (pandora, facebook), and it's only worse in youtube videos. I never had this issue with my FX-4100 & HD7850 even with two screens, any ideas as to what's going on? Seems to be recent, either that or I just never noticed before. I'm on the Omega (14.12?) drivers. Posted March 2, 2015 I think I may know what's going on. Since you got a game running on Full screen (GPU running at full 3D speeds), and a YouTube video / stream running on a second monitor (lower 2D speeds), it may be getting confused and alternating back-and-fourth. New GPUs will have three different "profiles" set into the BIOS. This applies to both AMD and NVidia GPUs. Idle -- Very low Core and Memory frequency to save power (150MHz / 300MHz etc) 2D speed -- Almost like the half-way frequencies, enough so videos won't stutter (i.e. 400MHz / 500MHz) 3D speed -- Full work mode (1000MHz / 1200MHz) Monitor your GPU activity, the Core clock and Memory clock on the GPU. If you notice it spiking up and down, then it's probably switching back-and-fourth between 2D and 3D. Report back with your findings, and we can look deeper into this issue. Posted March 2, 2015 Chrome does this. Fullscreen or windowed or borderless in the game does not matter. It's a problem inherently caused by chrome. I don't know if firefox causes it, because due to the fact that right clicking on firefox video freezes the browser, I refuse to use firefox. Honestly? Try using IE and see if it works. But I can guarantee chrome is the cause. I have finally moved to a desktop. Also my guides are outdated as hell.
