My gpu: Msi r9 290x gaming 4g. Is not clocking to 1030mhz which is the default clock. When I run demanding games like Ac unity, company of heroes 2 my pc shutdown, I think at power peaks. That's also why I think it's my power supply incapable of supplying enough power.

What do you guys think what I need to do to solve my gpu and my pc shutdowns?

My power supply is a Ocz modxstream 600watt. It's a 80 plus bronze powersupply

normally I would say 600 watts is way more than enough, but if the power supply is old or defective that make more sense.

the 290/x cards will only reach full clocks when needed. AMD Powertune 2.0 will adjust the clock speeds as needed 100,000+ times per second to optimize power draw.
