HTPC for my dad

so my dad want to get a new pc just for media e.g. youtube, netflix, plex and web browsing he is currently using a 1080p tv but might get a 4k sometime down the road (NO GAMING) 

 

he is currently using a packard bell media pc from about 5-6 years ago and it has a core 2 quad 3GB ram (limited) and nvidia gt620 and 64GB ssd 

 

he wants to spend around £500 or $770

a 750 ti with a low end i5 should be plenty

no i already have a copy of win 8.1 and what do you mean take out the GPU

Use the GT 620, it is good enough for a HTPC

yea storage is not that much of a problem because my gaming rig has all of it and its the media server for the whole house so thats why the one i made only had a 120GB ssd + my rig is all ways on
