Hi

i'm wondering how good is the stock thermal paste for overclocked CPU what we get in the box of Cooler master Hyper Evo 21x or the preinstalled paster on water blocks of corsair closed loop coolers ?

It'll be fine. Only change it if the temps aren't as good as you want.

you will get like 3 degree difference from the worst thermal paste that isn't complete garbage (tooth paste), to IC Diamond. However, if possible I would try to replace pre applied thermal compound. The one that comes with coolers in syringes like the hyper evo 212 is fine.

It will be fine but given the price of mx-2 or mx-4 I think everyone should get a tiny tube of it. It will certainly drop temps a few degrees over anything that comes stock.

i'm actually doing thermal paste experiments now a days . i've used arctic silver 5 , and gold color china made paste , preinstalled paste on H100i water block . arctic silver is the best till now i was thinking to change it with cooler master paste and check if its better . Which thermal paste will be considered as best for OC i7 4790K till now?

Man luckily Price is not something what stops me to buy better parts . as a super new builder i did alot of rookie mistakes but now i'm getting better with help of mates like you here. suggest me the best one for 5ghz+ OC i7 4790K with H100i . 80C is top limit of my safe zone.

Thermal paste? Mx-4 is really known as king unless you want something conductive I believe ic diamond is better but I don't remember if that is the stuff that is incredibly hard to get off the cpu. I think it's a sort of liquid metal?
