Hi guys !

I know you are probably sick of these topics about which keyboard should I choose, but unfortunately I got nowhere to go : (

So, short story long my A and D keys are messing on my membrane office Microsoft keyboard ( I KNOW DONT KILL ME !), and I guess its a time for a change. Personally I don't mind if they keyboard is going to be membrane of mechanical, but I guess I would prefer mechanical since it would last longer, the thing is I want it to be quiet so I don't wake up anyone... I did a quiz that was posted on this forum and I got Cherry MX Blacks.

I am looking to spend around ~£65, its a lot already so don't wanna go too high, and also backlight would be a nice feature (RED).

I was looking at this keyboard (http://www.amazon.co.uk/Razer-BlackWidow-Tournament-Essential-Mechanical/dp/B00L5J21LG/ref=pd_ybh_1) , it hasn't got a NUMPAD, but for the price I am able to ignore it. What do you think ?

Thank you and sorry for killing you with another keyboard topic.

Erm, I'd say you should go with something other than a Razer. Just because.

Maybe go with that? It has Cherry MX blacks

Edit - Cherry MX Browns from my experience are more quiet, really the only sound you get is from the keycaps themselves, and you can get them even quieter by buying some rubber O rings to put under your keycaps on the switches, this will get rid of almost all the noise that occurs when typing. I personally use the Logitech G710+ which has Cherry MX browns, and all around is a really nice keyboard. You could save up to buy it, as it's more expensive; http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/part/logitech-keyboard-920003887

Downloading programs from CNet is not a good idea, as they will commonly include unwanted, and sometimes dangerous bloatware... The more you know.

probably just get a new membrane keyboard if you want. You definitely won't get MX Blacks for the price you are looking for, and any mechanical switch will be louder than membrane most likely.

Yeah, I would probably end up going membrane, if so which one would you recommend ? I was thinking about Corsair K30 or one of the perixx keyboards, unless you have some other options.

I never knew Thermaltake were doing keyboards, so I will probably pass on that one. ;/

Ah, but you could save and go for the Logitech one I mentioned in my above edit of my first post, also here:

I don't think I would want to go with thermaltake, since personally I haven't heard that much of them except cases. And the problem with the G710+ is that I am not sure if I am willing to spend £100 for the keyboard, I could get another SSD for that price !

So I guess what membrane keyboards would you guys recommend ?

I switch between Cherry MX Brown and MX Blue keys, very often. I have a 2010 BlackWiddow and the Logitech G710+, Whenever I play with friends, I use the G710+, When I'm alone, I use the blackwiddow for that tactile feel.

GPU: GIGABYTE GTX 780 (x2, SLI) CPU: i7 5820k Motherboard: Alienware Aurora R4 Mobo RAM: Corsair Dominator Platinum 32 GB SSD: Samsung EVO 840

What's your opinion on K30, because I might just get that and them some good mouse later on since the one that I have right now is another office Microsoft mouse : DD and it will need swapping as well !

Looks like a nice keyboard, I don't really like the look myself, but that's just me, and to each their own. You should go for it and get that. And I don't know what mouse you might like. I have a razer deathadder 2013 and I am getting rid of it soon enough and replacing it with a Logitech G502.
