Hello Guys

First off i'm from the UK.

Currently these are the prices of the Xbox One and PS4

XB1 = £399

http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/1226027.htm

PS4 = £349

http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/1222540.htm

Now i don't want the G3258 because as per Lnus review this machine will be gaming, but also Light editing and stuff like that, i know this means that this takes it out of the scope of the two consoles but i'd like the extra from this. I don't need windows got that or monitor or keyboard.

Here is the sub £400 build i made

http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/p/hMRy3C

Does anyone have any suggestions or improvements? or complete new open to that haven't bought anything yet?

I'd like a little future proof hence the fm2+ for AMD's 2015 APU lineup

Please help

For 900p with medium/high settings it will be enough, altough i would recommend to up the budget a little and get an 860k and a 265 or a 270

For example:

This wil give alot better performance in games

Edit: this build wil give you 1080p at med-high settings at +- 60fps

Let's agree to disagree

Could you suggest a build?? wouldn't i need a gpu to game in the beginning? Hate not having alot of money

http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/p/2DTRyc

you can game a little bit on the i3, its not super great, but acceptable. after a while, when you have the money for it, get at least an 750ti or comparable card, that should be relative good for the money

Intel 3570k 3,4@4,5 1,12v Scythe Mugen 3 gigabyte 770     MSi z77a GD55    corsair vengeance 8 gb  corsair CX600M Bitfenix Outlaw 4 casefans

What is the difference between z97 and z87?? also this is dual core and most games are now quad core??/

thats a good, balanced build imo, it should last quite some time, and if fps start to drop a bit, think about getting a new gpu first, because CPU's are usually not the weakest part of a PC

oh, and if you think its too loud, consider getting an aftermarkted cooler for the CPU, the GPU should be pretty quiet, since its an efficient GPU that uses little electricity

the only thing that did worry me is dual core

Most stuff doesn't use more than 2 threads, and its hyperthreaded

But isn't most games being developed for 4 cores?

they say they are, but in reality, not really
